Retired? So What? I Aint Alone!

Retirement many think seems to be a dull and lonely life. But think again. Many retirees not only enjoy a grand vacation but they’re having a lot of funny and wacky times not by themselves not only with their loved ones and family plus a companion but who always have the time to share and never get tired of being their loyal companion, their pet dogs.

Record shows that owning a pet on your senior years does not only get you a constant loyal companion but will definitely be physically and mentally stimulating.  Try to consider the following aspects on why retired and older adult needed to have a pet around them:

Guardian angel and life saver.  Their loving companionship was something so divine and relief to most seniors and considers their pet as their life savers and an indispensable part of their life giving them joy and unconditional love.

Personalized therapy and entertainment. With pets around them, seniors got to have their own and exclusive kind of life therapy and entertainment to perk up their daily lives.

Depression, anxiety and stress busters. Pets significantly played a big part in healing over depression, anxiety and stress to the seniors. This significantly can lead to a more physically and mentally healthy wellbeing like lowering of blood pressure, lower cholesterol, sugar and less anxiety attack.  The daily interaction with pets can be very mentally stimulating to the older generation.

Sharper memory and alert minds. Older people who are pet caregivers according to some medical studies help improve an older person’s dementia condition and become more alert considering their age.

101% Lucky Pets. Pet companion of seniors are basically lavished and pampered with the most attention they can get than any pet parent or caregivers since retirees and older people can give their pet companion 101% undivided attention, care and love. And in some instances and in lieu and reward to the pet, they sometimes got to be included in the older people’s estate, last will and insurance benefits as heir securing a future beyond the life of their older masters.

No complaints. Pets to the older generation are ideal companions since they don’t remind anything about retirement and getting old.  To older adult, the sense of being retired is not a thing. No one will ever tell or remind them they were old and will feel superior at all times. Who would say and remind them they’re old when all their loyal companion can do was to stick with them all throughout without any complaints nor agitation concerning their production and activities.

Pets plays a very important role for retirees and seniors in coping up with this stage in life many are afraid of to face or experience. Many does not know that many seniors nowadays have an alternative to enjoy their retirement and old age in a more fun, enjoyable and sometimes wacky ways.

Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a persistent one. So get a few laughs and do the best you can. Don't have an ideal to work for. That's like riding towards the mirage of a lake.
